deadline time

Sandro,

In the past projects have sent out very short deadline WUs because of an
error. In some cases they granted credit (I assume manually) for the
late WUs completed.

I actually thought what it did (at least in the past) was to immediately
go into 'panic' / 'high priority' mode on these WUs to complete them as
soon as possible.

However a better behavior may very well be to NOT start the WUs and to
abort them. However, due to the fact that the estimated time remaining
(ETC) is just that, an estimate, BOINC should probably not abort on
current time + ETC > deadline but certainly could on current time >=
deadline. Perhaps a fudge factor could be added such as: current time >=
(deadline - 60 minutes)

But... either way, shouldn't this be posted over on a thread over at
Berkeley as I don't think it has anything to do with the Deb
implementation of the BOINC client.
