You might want to try the more official PPA from the pkg-boinc team:
https://launchpad.net/~pkg-boinc/+archive/ppa

This has 7.0.27+dfsg-3, which is the current version from Debian
unstable.

boinc-app-seti is being uploaded to the pkg-boinc testing PPA now:
https://launchpad.net/~pkg-boinc/+archive/testing (the previous upload
failed to build there, I hope that version -2 from Debian addresses
that).
