And since xpm images are often detected as C text files (well, they are), some very misleading behavior occurs: git reports my patch as deleting 500+ code lines (when I only deleted 2 icons), and all BOINC xpm files in client/res are invalid because they contain C (and C++) license / copyright notice comments *before* the /* XPM */ header.
