Package: boost
Version: 1.33.1
Severity: important

I'm not sure if I should mark this bug as important wishlist or what.
Anyway, the installation of libboost_thread1.33.1
copies the file libboost_thread-gcc-mt-1_33_1.so.1.33.1 to /usr/lib
should'nt also create the respective symlink?

PS: This also applies to all boost libraries:
portatildebian64:~# ls -l /usr/lib/libboost_*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 239040 2006-09-28 13:30
/usr/lib/libboost_program_options-gcc-1_33_1.so.1.33.1
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 239104 2006-09-28 13:30
/usr/lib/libboost_program_options-gcc-mt-1_33_1.so.1.33.1
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 705016 2006-09-28 13:30
/usr/lib/libboost_regex-gcc-1_33_1.so.1.33.1
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 705112 2006-09-28 13:30
/usr/lib/libboost_regex-gcc-mt-1_33_1.so.1.33.1
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 49504 2006-09-28 13:30
/usr/lib/libboost_thread-gcc-mt-1_33_1.so.1.33.1

Here's the symlink I've created.
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 48 2006-10-05 16:31
/usr/lib/libboost_thread.so ->
/usr/lib/libboost_thread-gcc-mt-1_33_1.so.1.33.1

Kind regards
Sebastià
