The plan is to phase out all but the latest.

I was hoping not to start phasing them out until the new release was
out, though that's taking a lot longer than first anticipated.

As soon as 1.37 is in the archive, 1.36 can almost certainly
be removed as it has never reached testing.  

I would anticipate that 1.35 could be quickly removed, too, since few
things would be building with it.  I can count five such packages with
grep-dctrl.  I expect these could move to 1.37 without too much
trouble.
