Maybe I forgot to mention that the resulting package may be found in
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-cas/libcas-php/svn-buildpackage/tags/1.0.0-1/

Actually, this one problem may be easily solved by rewriting phpCAS so
that XML DOM management calls use the PHP5 dom API, getting rid of
domxml-php4-php5.php.

What may be more problematic, is the fact that apparently phpCAS is
licensed using an "old style / advertising clause BSD" license, contrary
to what seems to be announced as a "New BSD license" in
http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CASC/phpCAS :(

My feeling now is that it is DFSG free, although it may render phpCAS
unusable in GNU GPL licensed programs (feel free to followup in
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=495542 too) :(

I'd value any comments on that situation...

In particular, I'm afraid similar licensing terms are used for other
JA-SIG programs linked to CAS... which would affect other packages
too...

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
