Thanks for your interest in Cinnamon.  Yes, we are aware of the freeze an we intend to have cinnamon in Jessie.

We have been waiting for several months for cinnamon to go through the NEW process, but now it's finally done, so it's installable from experimental.

We will be uploading to unstable soon, as soon as the last details are finished.  If you want to help us, you can install the package from experimental and make sure that everything works correctly.
