A new release can be done when our friends in NY awake.

> * citadel and webcit now can make use of shared-mime-info, and so far the
> Control file neither suggests nor requires it

No problem. We can easily change this. You know that you have write
access to the packaging svn, don't you?

hm, no, i didn't know ;-) I've checked it out and now tried to commit from there and it told me "Authorization failed"... what did i do wrong? it didn't even ask me for credentials.

> * webcit can make use of freedesktop.org iconsets. in the debs if you
>
> /usr/share/citadel-webcit/static$ ln -s
> /usr/share/icons/gnome/24x24/mimetypes icons
>
> the file facility dialogs will give you these icons depending on the
> mimetype of the uploaded files. Do we just need the
mentioned link or more?

To have nice icons we would need them installed (we have one default no others there icon with a floppydisk). For the current state I took the gnome-icon-theme packages icons. Maybe doing that should be left to the user as an excercise pointed out in the welcome mail? Or should we recommend gnome-icon-theme and let the postinst create that link? (and if the user wants another freedesktop compatible icon set he has to do this by himself)

Wilfried Goesgens
