This should be worked as expected, at least with the latest mailman
configuration on Alioth [1].  And indeed this list received the
FTP-master mails [2][3].

I think the next step would be the automatic commit mails, as explained
in the Debian wiki page for git on Alioth [4].  If you don't want to
mess up with a production repository, I'm going to test it anyway on a
private one, so just wait ;-)
