[Pkg-crosswire-devel] zlib: Old convenience copy of zlib library inside SWORD?

Looking around the SWORD source tree, I seem to have discovered a copy
of zlib 1.1.4 inside the SWORD library.

If this code is being used in the Linux builds of SWORD, which I think
it is, isn't this contrary to Debian Policy 4.13 at
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-source.html#s-embeddedfiles ?

Even if not, we need to recognize its existence in the package copyright
file so that its authors are appropriately attributed. It is not GPLed
code, and currently our packages claim that everything in the source
tarball is GPL V2 or later.

Similarly src/modules/common/sapphire.cpp and include/sapphire.h seems
to be a copy of the Sapphire II cipher, which is not GPL either.

Other than zlib and Sapphire II, are there other convenience copies of
external libraries in the SWORD source tarball? Are we going to have to
split them out??

Thanks,

Jonathan
