Package: cupsys
Version: 1.1.23-13
Severity: normal

Hello,
after upgrading from testing->unstable, cupsys doesn't start anymore. This
seems linked with the new format of cupsd.conf:
old format: /etc/cups/cupsd.conf contain either Port or Listen
new format: /etc/cups/cupsd.d/ports.conf contains either Port or Listen

First annoyance: the old Poet/Listen is not cleared from cupsd.conf, so there
are two (identical) port definitions. A second child is started, which can't
bind to port 631, and the main daemon stops.

Second Annoyance: specifying in ports.conf a Listen as localhost:631
does not remove the Port entry in the same file. Two specs, two children, no
start

So, the debconf step should ensure every Port/Listen instance is removed from
cupsd.conf, and that specifiyng an address/port pair as Listen removes the
corresponding Port entry.

Best regards

Pascal Dupuis
