OK.  The parallel port driver is now OK, so all that remains is
configuring the printer correctly.  I would suggest that you go to
https://localhost:631/admin/ and add a new printer from scratch.  Note
down what you do at each staage, and if this still doesn't configure
correctly, let us know all the steps you took, and what happened at
each step.
