It works for me with the same version of cupsys and gutenprint.  Could
you describe exactly what you did on each screen after choosing "add
printer"?

After choosing "Epson" as the make, I see
  Epson Stylus Color 660 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.0.0-rc3 (en)
in the model list.
