[Pkg-cups-devel] Bug#373793: Etch cupsys upgrade; print test page prints parts of page over 8 sheets of paper

Package: cupsys
Version: 1.2.1-2

After the upgrade opened http://localhost:631/admin and checked
printers. When I tried to print a test page the first sheet had just a
scaled ruler (mm) at the top of page, 2nd page was blank. 3rd page had
Printer Test Page near top, 4th was blank. 5th page had sideways M and W
and the 6th had the complete color wheel, gray ramp and 1 degree radial
lines. 7th page had the top of the next section, imageable area and
interpreter info and the 8th [page had the rest of the test page with a
scaled ruler )inches) at the very bottom. Along both side of the pages
was a sting of numbers. I opened HP Toolbox and was able to print a test
page from there, correctly done. I can print from Firefox, gedit,
OpenOffice and acrobat reader. Tried to add new printer but the result
was the same. Additionally the correct ppd files were not listed in the
Model/Driver box, had to use the Browse option to find the correct ppd
file. I also tried to purge and re-install the cups related packages,
but did not help. Setting for printers were not changed and seem to be
correct. I have the hplip and hpijs packages installed ( 0.9.7-4 and
2.1.7+0.9.7-4). Everything worked correctly before upgrade.
