[Pkg-cups-devel] Bug#434277: libcupsys2: No lib32 libraries; 32-bit apps on multiarch cannot print

This would be an ugly workaround for the real problem: Adobe are not
providing a proper 64-bit build of Acrobat Reader.  This is a problem
which needs to be taken up with Adobe, not CUPS.

The solution in the meantime is to debootstrap a 32-bit chroot (use a
tool like schroot to access it--it supports 32-in-64 bit operation via
the kernel linux32 personality).  This is what is generally
recommended for running out of date 32-bit proprietary code on 64-bit
systems.  You can write a one-line shell script wrapper to make
running the reader completely transparent.  This is recommended in the
AMD64 FAQ.
