Please note that these packages are already in Ubuntu, and splix is newer:

     splix |    1.0.1-1     |      unstable 
     splix | 1.1.1-0ubuntu1 |         hardy
   cupsddk | 1.2.0-0ubuntu1 |         hardy

IMHO it would make sense to

 - base the Debian uploads on the current Ubuntu source packages,
   since they have been in use and tested for a while
 - work together with Till to maintain those in Debian as well, then
   we can just sync the package to Ubuntu (i. e. use the same in both
   distributions)

What do you think?
