Thanks for the suggestion. I just committed this instead:
- printcap_file=`egrep '^Printcap ' /etc/cups/cupsd.conf | awk '{print $2}'`
+ printcap_file=`egrep '^Printcap ' /etc/cups/cupsd.conf | awk '{print $2}' | tail -n 1`
