Hello,

Mark Adams had the idea to modify mime.convs to remove the pstops 
program as follows:

comment out:
#application/postscript application/vnd.cups-postscript 66 pstops

replace by:
application/postscript application/vnd.cups-postscript 0 -


now it is possible to print from windows on a3 or a4 paper, which is 
selectable in the windows cups driver.


i hope this helps to debug.
meanwhile i played back my old etch server backup :-)
