[Pkg-cups-devel] cups-bsd (1.3.8-1lenny5) recommends cups - is this a bug?

Hi all.

1 of my machines just uses cups client software to connect to a
different machine running the cups server/daemon. On this client I
install cups-client and cups-bsd (since I need to be able to use both
lp and lpr).

When I install cups-client, the following package list of dependencies
gets installed:
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  cups-client cups-common{a} libcupsimage2{a}

When I install cups-bsd, the following package list of dependencies
gets installed:
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  avahi-daemon{a} avahi-utils{a} bind9-host{a} cups{a} cups-bsd
  foomatic-db{a} foomatic-db-engine{a} foomatic-filters{a} ghostscript{a}
  ghostscript-x{a} gs-common{a} gs-esp{a} gsfonts{a}
  libavahi-compat-libdnssd1{a} libavahi-core5{a} libbind9-40{a}
  libdaemon0{a} libdns45{a} libgs8{a} libisc45{a} libisccc40{a}
  libisccfg40{a} liblwres40{a} libnss-mdns{a} libpaper-utils{a}
  libpaper1{a} libpoppler3{a} libslp1{a} openssl{a} openssl-blacklist{a}
  poppler-utils{a} psfontmgr{a} samba-common{a} smbclient{a} ssl-cert{a}

The latter seems a little excessive, and I assume that it's a
consequence of cups-bsd recommending cups (the client recommends the
server).

Is this a bug? Thanks your help, Jaime :-)
