[Pkg-cups-devel] Bug#529978: On the server itself, users can't print

Package: cups
Version: 1.3.10-2

I'm having issues getting cups working correctly on my home network :
any user can print from any box -- except the server.

On the server, the gnome printing dialog shows the printers correctly,
but the "Print" button is greyed...

Here is what the access log has to say on the issue :
--> from the server :
localhost - - [22/May/2009:17:03:40 +0200] "GET
/printers/Samsung_ML-1710.ppd HTTP/1.1" 400 0 - -
--> from another box :
192.168.0.4 - - [22/May/2009:17:04:28 +0200] "GET
/ppd/Samsung_ML-1710.ppd HTTP/1.1" 200 28867 - -

In one case, the result is 200(OK), and in the other 400(INCORRECT
REQUEST) -- it works when using /ppd/<printername> but not
/printers/<printername>... I'm using the same program (gnumeric) from
both places.

Hope it helps,
