[Pkg-cups-devel] Bug#590436: Why does cups-bsd depend on update-inetd?

Package: cups-bsd
Version: 1.4.4-1
Severity: normal

The subject says it all.
There's nothing in cups-bsd that could be a daemon:

$ dpkg -L cups-bsd | grep cups-lpd
/usr/share/man/man8/cups-lpd.8.gz
/usr/share/man/fr/man8/cups-lpd.8.gz
/usr/share/man/de/man8/cups-lpd.8.gz

Perhaps there is some packaging error that put /usr/lib/cups/daemon/cups-lpd
into the main cups package? In any case, the manpages should be together with
the executable file, no?

Thanks,
Paul Slootman
