[Pkg-cups-devel] Bug#641182: libcupsmime1: undefined symbol: _cups_strcasecmp

Package: libcupsmime1
Version: 1.5.0-5
Severity: serious

For hunting down a regression I downgraded cups and all I also had to
downgrade due to the dependencies to the squeeze version, and ended up with:

Starting Common Unix Printing System: cupsd/usr/sbin/cupsd: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcupsmime.so.1: undefined symbol: _cups_strcasecmp
..

That looks like the dependency on libcups2 is not strong enough
(bug in the symbols file of libcups2?)?

This is a problem also for partial upgrades from squeeze and wheeze,
and really has to be fixed for wheezy.
