Hi,

 

I have a HP LaserJet 1020 with the same symptoms. Blacklisting usblp does
solve the problem for me too, the firmware is downloaded successfully.

 

I did what you asked, changed cups loglevel to debug, restarted cups and
reproduced the problem. No new entries got added to cups error log at all.
Tried debug2, nothing again. Here is my syslog though.
