When using a network printer, lpd and Jetdirect, there is a 10 second delay between jobs. This is a known issue in cups 1.4.4 and below, reported in many places: <a href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/625284" style="background-color:transparent" target="_blank">https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/625284</a>. I recommend backporting a more recent version of cups to squeeze. I am currently using 1.5.3 without issue.</pre>
