Yuck.  It is not the regular SASL problems I know of, then.  It might be a
bug in nscd too.

Signal 6 is SIGABRT.  This is *way* too weird.  Cyrus doesn't use abort(),
AFAIK.  It never dies with signal 6 due to normal *or* normally abnormal :p
operation.  You may want to grep the libsasl, nscd and openldap sources for
abort().

Oh, and run a 48h memtest burn-in in your box, too, unless it has high-grade
ECC memory or such.
