Lumir -

The issue with 2.3.x has been a lack of time on behalf of the Debian
developers to get the packages up-to-date and into shape for Debian.
There are no license problems or anything like that. The version in
experimental is quite broken, I would not suggest using it. The HMH
branch of 2.3 in our subversion is the most up-to-date, and you can try
to use them, though I would not use them in production without testing.
The main thing that has yet to be done is work on an automated upgrade
path from existing 2.2 installations to the 2.3 packages. If you want to
test these packages, please let us know about how your upgrade process
went - what worked, what didn't and how you fixed any problems you
encountered.

HTH,
Benjamin
