Package: cyrus-imapd
Version: 2.5.10-3
Followup-For: Bug #871921

Dear Maintainer,

I have encountered the same problem. The threshold to
trigger this bug seems to be even lower that 10000 mails,
probably in the range af o few thousands.

I was trying to strece squatter to find out if it is a
single mail that makes it crash, but it did not help.
Swuatter happily read all the emails, and crashed when
trying to do something with one of the many temporary files
it uses:

open("/var/spool/cyrus/mail/domain/censored.cz/user/some^user/squatKmITgH", O_RDWR|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0600) = 110
unlink("/var/spool/cyrus/mail/domain/censored.cz/user/some^user/squatKmITgH") = 0
... long long output skipped ...
write(110, "O\33$O\33IO\33\303O\34EO\34\303O\35\\O\35\303O\36\36O\36\37O\36~O\36"..., 52145) = 52145
lseek(110, 0, SEEK_SET) = 0
mmap(NULL, 770211840, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS, -1, 0) = 0x7f1f5a269000
mmap(NULL, 949834204, PROT_READ, MAP_SHARED, 110, 0) = 0x7f1f21893000
--- SIGSEGV {si_signo=SIGSEGV, si_code=SEGV_ACCERR, si_addr=0x7f1f8816c008} ---
+++ killed by SIGSEGV +++

Is there any chance someone will look into it?

Thanks in advance
Vladislav Kurz
