Problem sending to Alioth lists?

I have a an MX.  The thing is that my workstation (miami) does not have
any Internet-accesible mail server on it (postfix being configured to
use a smarthost and so not needing to receive mail from the world).
Anyhow, apparently the problem was with the Envelope-From header, which
was being sent to roberto at miami and which caused Alioth to not be able
to verify that mail can be received at that address.

Anyhow, I had posted the same question to debian-devel and in this
thread Adeodato provided a workable solution:
