Hmm. The version currently in Debian is 2.1.19. We are trying to
package 2.1.22. I think that they should be API compatible at the
very least. I don't know if they are ABI compatible, but I believe the
symbols are versioned, which should help to keep us out of trouble at
the least.

All the bugs in the BTS now, IIRC, are against version 2.1. I will try
and triage them and start working on them.
