package libsasl2
forwarded 211156 cyrus-sasl at lists.andrew.cmu.edu
thanks

Hello,

I am part of the team that is trying to package up the latest version
(2.1.22) of cyrus-sasl2 for Debian Etch. Anyhow, I have been going
through the bugs that are open (there are many). I'd like to request
that some upsteam devs please review a patch which we would like to see
included.  It is available here:

http://bugs.debian.org/211156

Basically, Debian policy requires that all configuration files be
located some where under /etc. The user who provided the patch set it
up so that /etc/sasl is searched first and then it checks the module
paths. Please review and let us know. For the time being, we will be
including this patch in the Debian version in order to be compliant with
Debian policy, but we would like to see it accepted upstream as well.

Regards,

-Roberto
