Regarding NEW and ftp-master approval

Hello everyone,

I just uploaded pre03, and I think it's time to think about how to get
our package through NEW. There's been some comments about NEW processing
on debian-devel in the last few days, but our package has only been in
NEW for three days, and the top of the queue is only one month old.
Complaining seldom helps, but we could try constructive ways. Any ideas?

Another question is convincing the FTP-masters to allow cyrus-sasl-2.1
into sid and then etch. They might want to decide and do the NEW
processing in one go. Let's try to put ourselves in the FTP-masters'
shoes. What do we need to have done to start uploading to unstable? We
definitely have to do some testing, but are there other things? Should
we approach the FTP-masters first, or should we try to solve the issues
we come up with first? Both have pros and cons.

Cheers,
