About list and bug posts, cc's etc.

Hi!

There's been a lot of clutter on the list because apparently mailing
list practises differ and are easy to forget, and it's not immediately
obvious how mail gets copied between the bts and this list.

So please remember:

When you (plural) post to this list, please do not unnecessarily cc
people. It is good form to post the reply to the list only. People who
are not subscribed will ask you to cc them or set the appropriate
headers.

When you (plural) reply to a bug, send the reply to
<bugnumber>@bugs.d.o. That way, the message will be automatically copied
to this list. There is no need to send to both <bugnumber>@bugs.d.o and
this list. The same goes for submitting bugs, you don't need to add an
explicit cc to the list. Note that annoyingly, those messages will have
a Reply-To header pointing both to the sender and the bug, but it's easy
to edit out the sender before sending.

Thanks,
