It appears that these sorts of things popped up all over my commit.
Here is another example:
http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-cyrus-sasl2/cyrus-sasl-2.1/trunk/debian/po/pt.po?op=file&rev=0&sc=0

However, when I look at files in vim, the accented characters show up
properly.  I have my system configured for UTF8.  Did I miss something?
