Thanks for this patch, we'll definitely review it once someone has the
time. Meanwhile, do you think you could raise the issue on upstream's
mailing list and ask for feedback on the patch. Obviously, it would be
best if the fix was made upstream, and that would mean we'd apply it as
soon as possible to the current Debian version.
