   Hi,

I'm the maintainer of spamprobe and I'm working on #421954.

spamprobe is a spam filter intended to be called from procmail. So
I can't implement an automatic upgrade of the libdb databases on the
system when the package is upgraded because I can't know how many
databases there are and where they are.

I wondered if spamprobe itself could implement this automatic upgrade
on the next access to each database. My knowlegde of libdb is very
limited.

Otherwise I think that I will have to use a debconf notice to warn
users during the package upgrade that the databases have to be upgraded.

Do you know how the other applications relying on libdb handle this
type of migration ?

 Thanks,
