Package: db4.7
Version: 4.7.25
Severity: normal
The Debian patch set in the db4.7 source package appears to contain
all of the files that were present in version 4.6, but removed from
version 4.7.
For example, debian/patches/debian-changes-4.7.25-9 contains a patch
with the complete contents of os/os_spin.c. This file was present in
the upstream db4.6 release, but not in the upstream db4.7. It's not
referenced anywhere in the source or build (its functionality was
moved to os/os_cpu.c). This appears to be the case for ~30 files.
(Though probably irrelevant to fixing the bug, I'd wager the
transition from 4.6 to 4.7 was done by applying a patch between the
two upstream trees that missed files that had been deleted from the
upstream 4.7 tree.)
