I guess you're right - this is post-Squeeze stuff.
(I'm sorry for doing it so late - the DHCPv6 stuff would have been nice for
Squeeze)

But adding the patches to the git would give me a good feeling that they
won't get lost completely;-))
In addition to that it would give me something to build onto for further
patches (the handling/documentation of $exit_status for dhclient-script
hooks could use a loving hand)

I'd like to do a bit of bug triaging for the isc-dhcp package.
Do you have any guidelines regarding:

* bugs that my patch series covers
Shall I write comments pointing to this bug, shall I merge them with
this one, shall I tag them (e.g. pending)?

* bugs in the stable version that are fixed in current testing
Can I close them right now or shall I tag them "fixed/4.1.1" and
  help closing them after squeeze.

* bugs that aren't really bugs but misunderstandings on the user side.
My idea is to write a mail to ###-submitter at bugs.debian.org trying to
explain the user's error and close the bug.

Or are you happy with anything I do as long as I try to do something sensible
(note, I am no DD, so I may not know every detail)

Thanks in advance
Peter
