This bug also affect the isc-dhcp-server package.

If you have BOOTP devices on your network you will trigger that bug
every time you'll start or restart your dhcp server, effectively
"losing" your dhcp leases.

We had duplicate IP addresses for a long while on our network and it
was puzzling us because the dhcp server does check it's leases before
issuing a BOOTREPLY. I finally found out that the server does lose its
leases but only at start time.

Here is a exceprt of our syslog file regarding this issue:

Oct 29 11:31:29 localhost dhcpd: /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases line
101839: semicolon expected.
Oct 29 11:31:29 localhost dhcpd: cltt
Oct 29 11:31:29 localhost dhcpd: ^

If you have the same problem I suggest updating to
4.2.2.dfsg.1-5+deb70u2 as soon as possible. Be aware that you might
lose your BOOTP leases during the upgrade.

Regards,
- Guillaume
