[Pkg-directfb-devel] util.o twice in libdirectfb.a

Hi, I want to extract the objects out ouf the static lib libdirectfb.a.
But util.o appears twice. Using "ar x libdirectfb.a" just gives me one  
util.o (I guess the second util.o overwrites the first on the  
filesystem).

How can I safely do that?
Or is there another way to merge two static lib archives with standard  
binutils?
