Not sure really.

I removed libgeda33 from geda-symbols Conflicts: field, the reason is 
that the libgeda2? in the Conflicts were added because libgeda2? 
packages (gEDA < 1.4) used to provide a couple of conf files that were 
moved to geda-symbols in gEDA 1.4, hence a Conflict should have been 
added. Yet this is not the case with libgeda33 which actually came with 
gEDA 1.4.

The result of removing libgeda33 from Conflicts of geda-symbols is that if I run: apt-get upgrade 

that would additionally upgrade geda-symbols, yet still the rest of 
binary packages won't be upgraded except with a dist-upgrade !
