not needed, I guess most of the people here in group prefer going
through history and source within a git tree.

So far I've seen you have added all the changes within one single
commit. Please don't do this, make single atomic commit that can be
easily reviewed, reverted, later modified and so on.

Also the packaging should follow DEP14 naming conventions [14] and
further on contain the source within a dedicated source branch. And we
want / need pristine-tar data. So I would move over the master branch
into debian/sid and create the others which are needed. I can do this if
you agree.

You bumped Standards-Versions to 4.1.5, you are sure there are no
further changes needed? So please mention this then.

Why stick with debhelper 9? Current version is 11.

The cdbs package is for sure not needed anymore. If yes get rid of this
need.

debian/watch should be bumped to version 4.

And I personally suggest to make the package ready for maintaining it by
git-buildpackage.
