the KiCad version 5.1.0 is currently only available in unstable.
I've asked the release team for an unblock of that version so it could
migrate to testing then. Please see #926004. As this is a big change to
the previous version in testing I can't overview if this unblock will
happen even I don't expect any big or small issues on this update.

Given your report is created against the version of KiCad in
stretch-backports there not much I can do right now. First version 5.1.0
need to be in testing before I can work on a new updated version for
stretch-backports.

As upstream has started again talking about the next update of KiCad to
5.1.1 I'm not much motivated currently to work in between times an a
backport version of KiCad for stretch which wouldn't made into backports.

But maybe I change my mind on this. :)
