Perfect, thanks. I've updated to 1.0, dropped the upstreamed patch,
added two important patches that Eric found while testing 1.0 with our
production test suite, fixed a mistake when I merged the package split
from Ubuntu, and tested that this installs and runs fine on my system.

Sam, if you could take a look and give your feedback, I'd really
appreciate it. I have about another week or two to get CouchDB 1.0
into the next Ubuntu release, and would prefer to merge from Debian
rather than just uploading directly to Ubuntu.

Sergei, in recent discussions about improving relations between Ubuntu
and Debian, there was talk about fast-tracking Ubuntu developers to
Debian Maintainer status. I would like to earn Debian Maintainer
status for CouchDB, so any feedback you have for me on what it would
take before you would be comfortable advocating me as a DM is very
welcome (and I write this to the public list because I want to
encourage Sam and anyone else reading to also work towards DM status).
