I think I've run into the same problem, and since I ran into it while
creating a POP account, and another report mentioned that too, I'm
hoping this will provide a clue about where the problem lies.
I have evolution configured with about 4 accounts, which are local or
IMAP (the main one is IMAP on my machine). 2 are active.
I tried to add a POP account, but even though it was marked enabled it
never showed up. Thinking this might be a display refresh issue, I
exited the program. I could not start it up again. .xsession-errors
showed very similar messages to the ones at the top of this bug.
I upgraded my system to latest testing and was able to launch evo.
The new account still didn't show, and similar errors were again
reported. Not wanting to find myself unable to start, I deleted the
account.
Though my system is mostly testing, I pulled in some unstable stuff to
get around a previous evolution error. I think it was one of the
dependents libraries, ratther than evo itself that I updated.
I have no pressing need to solve this problem. But it would be good
to solve :)
