[Evolution] Bug#755981: evolution-data-server: evolution-calendar-factory consumes 100% CPU all the time, calendar events are not handled at all and evolution becomes useless

Package: evolution-data-server
Version: 3.12.2-1
Severity: normal

After upgrading most of the remaining GNOME to 3.12 from Unstable, the
evolution-data-server consumes 100% CPU all the time, but the calendar in
shell's top bar doesn't display any event/task/appointment.

Furthermore, after opening evolution, the "Saving user interface" message is
displayed at the status bar, and selecting any folder in the left pane (e.g.,
Inbox, Sent, Trash) does not display its contents.

I tried downgrading the evolution-related packages, but the behavior is the
same. I also tried deleting ~/.{cache,config,local/share}/evolution and
restoring from the backup I made before the 3.12 upgrade, but after restoring
the behavior is the same.

After installing evolution-dbg and evolution-data-server-dbg and restarting the
desktop session, when trying either "CALDAV_DEBUG=all /usr/lib/evolution
/evolution-calendar-factory >& ~/e-c-f-caldav.log" or "WEBCAL_DEBUG=1
/usr/lib/evolution/evolution-calendar-factory >& ~/e-c-f-webcal.log", all I get
in the logs is:

    Bus name 'org.gnome.evolution.dataserver.Calendar4' acquired.

So far the only workaround that prevents the battery from being drained (since
evolution-calendar-factory makes the rate jump from 15W to 40W), was
renaming/disabling the evolution-calendar-factory file in /usr/lib/evolution
---since simply killing evolution-calendar-factory just makes it restart.

If possible, please let me know if I can provide any further information.
