Package: exim4
Version: 4.34-6
Severity: normal

Hello,

Sorry, the subject line is not very descriptive. On system startup
exim hangs for a long time (I assume because it tries to connect to the
net). Until it finishes doing whatever it is doing the whole startup
procedure hangs. This is not very nice, as it adds about 15s to the
startup time (more if I'm not actually connected to the LAN where I
have to wait for it to time out).

To make it even less nice, there is no way (AFAIK) to tell it to stop
(i.e. like you can stop say dhclient in a similar situation with ^c).

This did not happen until a few months ago, but I can't remember when
exactly it started.

Is there any way to stop this happening?
