Package: exim4
Version: 4.84-8+deb8u2
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Currently if an ACL file contains bad entries, one gets a
message (e.g. with exim -bh):

>>> host in ": +relay_from_hosts : /etc/greylistd/whitelist-hosts : /var/lib/greylistd/whitelist-hosts"? no (malformed IPv4 address or address mask)

It would be really helpful if a line number were listed e.g.:

>>> host in ": +relay_from_hosts : /etc/greylistd/whitelist-hosts : /var/lib/greylistd/whitelist-hosts"? no (malformed IPv4 address or address mask at line 123)

Argueably it'd be nice to have this kind of error popping up
in Exim's log files as well.

Cheers,
Y.
