[pymvpa] 64-bit PyMVPA or help with large datasets?

Hello,

I am trying to load a rather large dataset to do some exploration and I'm
running into memory errors. I am using the NeuroDebian virtual machine
with 4GB of RAM assigned to it. My computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 machine
with 12GB of RAM and so, in theory, if I could load a 64-bit version of
PyMVPA, I thought I could overcome these memory issues.

Unfortunately all attempts to do so have failed. I tried getting python
and the necessary libraries installed on my Windows 7 environment but
attempts to build PyMVPA fail unless I use a 32-bit version of python.
Does anyone know if it's even possible to compile a 64-bit version PyMVPA
or else alternatively, are there other tricks that can be used to overcome
memory limitations in pyhton and PyMVPA?

Thanks in advance

Cheers,
Jason
