Package: fetchmail
Version: 6.3.8-10
Severity: important
I'm setting up a system to allow users to report mail as spam or ham to
teach SpamAssassin filters. For that purpose, two system-wide IMAP mailboxes have
been created, learn-ham and learn-spam. They have very restrictive ACLs,
li for users and lrd for the user that fetches the messages and feeds
them to SpamAssassin. That seems to confuse fetchmail:
fetchmail: IMAP> A0010 STORE 1 +FLAGS (\Seen \Deleted)
fetchmail: IMAP< A0010 NO Permission denied
fetchmail: IMAP> A0011 LOGOUT
fetchmail: IMAP< * BYE LOGOUT received
fetchmail: IMAP< A0011 OK Completed
fetchmail: client/server synchronization error while fetching from
spamdata at 127.0.0.1
fetchmail: 6.3.8 querying 127.0.0.1 (protocol IMAP) at Sun 17 Feb 2008
06:45:39 PM UTC: poll completed
fetchmail: Query status=7 (ERROR)
fetchmail: normal termination, status 7
I've of course added the "s" ACL to the folders, but I think fetchmail
should handle such situations more gracefully.
