Thanks for the accurate report !

However, I don't think there are a lot of options here. Other users may claim 
that 8-7 is totally bullshit for them and there's always new or reopened bugs 
with each new versions, so waiting for next version is not an option too..

I hope you'll find a solution, either with an open source driver or else.
